I were: I wish I were

(ఆశించడం,కోరుకోవడం,అనుకోవడం)

I wish I were in Delhi. నేను ఢిల్లీ లో ఉంటే బాగుణ్ణు.
” I were a teacher.నేను ఒక ఉపాధ్యాయున్ని అయివుంటే బాగుణ్ణు .
” I were in library.నేను లైబ్రరీ లో ఉంటే బాగుణ్ణు .
” they were good players.వాళ్ళు మంచి ఆటగాళ్లు అయివుంటే బాగుణ్ణు .
” he were in that meeting.అతను ఆ సమావేశం లో ఉంటే బాగుణ్ణు .
” my friend were a lawyer.నా స్నేహితుడు న్యాయవాది అయితే బాగుణ్ణు .

spoken English లో was place లో were ఉపయోగించాలి.

I could: I wish I could

(నేను ఫలానా ప్లేస్లో ఉండగలిగితే బాగుండేది ,నేను ఫలానా పని చేయగలిగితే బాగుండేది):

I wish I could be in a college. నేను కాలేజీలో ఉండగలిగితే బాగుండేది.
” I could help you. నేను మీకు సహాయం చెయ్యగలిగితే బాగుండేది.
” I could be at bus stand. నేను బస్టాండ్ దగ్గర ఉండగలిగితే బాగుండేది.
” he could meet you. అతను మిమ్మలను కలుసుకొని ఉంటే బాగుండేది.
” they could be in playground. వాళ్లు ప్లే గ్రౌండ్ లో ఉండగలిగితే బాగుండేది.
” you could come a little early. ఆమె కొంచెం త్వరగా వచ్చి ఉండగలిగితే బాగుండేది.

I wish + simple past:

(ఏదైనా పని చేసి ఉంటే బాగుండేది)

I wish I knew Hindi. నాకు హిందీ తెలుసుకుంటే బాగుండేది.
” I met them. నేను వాళ్లను కలిసి ఉంటే బాగుండేది.
” I completed that work. నేను ఆ పనిని పూర్తి చేసి ఉంటే బాగుండేది.
” he wrote that exam. అతను ఆ పరీక్ష రాసి ఉంటే బాగుండేది.
” they talked to you. వాళ్లు మీతో మాట్లాడి ఉంటే బాగుండేది.
” she woke up early. ఆమె ఎర్లీగా లేచి ఉంటే బాగుండేది.

I had: I wish I had

(గతంలో ఏదైనా కలిగి ఉంటే బాగుండేది)

I wish I had that book. నా దగ్గర ఈ పుస్తకం ఉంటే బాగుండేది.
” I had a pen. నా దగ్గర పెన్ ఉంటే బాగుండేది.
” I had a mobile. నా దగ్గర ఒక మొబైల్ ఉంటే బాగుండేది.
” he had a bike. నా దగ్గర ఒక బైక్ ఉంటే బాగుండేది.
” they had a land. వారి దగ్గర ఒక స్థలం ఉంటే బాగుండేది.
” she had kindness. ఆమె దగ్గర జాలిగుణం ఉంటే బాగుండేది.

I would: I wish I would

(మూడో వ్యక్తి యొక్క ఇష్టాన్ని గాని మనస్తత్వాన్ని గాని తెలియపరిచే సందర్భం)

I wish they would write the exam now. వాళ్లు ఇప్పుడు ఎగ్జామ్ రాస్తే బాగుండు ను.
” he would go now. అతనిప్పుడు వెళితే బాగుండేది.
” she would know about them. ఆమె వాళ్ల గురించి తెలుసుకొని ఉంటే బాగుండేది.
” he would come tomorrow. అతను రేపు వస్తే బాగుండేది.
” they would talk with him. వాళ్లు అతనితో మాట్లాడితే బాగుండేది.
” it would work now. అది ఇప్పుడు పని చేస్తే బాగుండు ను.

I could have + V3: I wish I could have + V3

(ఏదైనా ఒక పని చేయగలిగి ఉంటే బాగుండేది)

I wish I could have prepared for that exam. నేను ఆ పరీక్షకు ప్రిపేర్ అవగలిగే ఉంటే బాగుండేది.
” I could have help you. నేను మీకు సహాయం చేయగలలిగి ఉంటే బాగుండేది.
” he could have completed that work. అతను ఆ పని పూర్తి చేయగలిగి ఉంటే బాగుండేది.
” they could have met you. వాళ్లు మిమ్మలను కలుసుకుని ఉంటే బాగుండేది.
” you could have bought this book. మీరు ఆ పుస్తకం కొనుగోలు చేసి ఉంటే బాగుండేది.
” she could have talked with her parents. ఆమె ఆమె తల్లిదండ్రులతో మాట్లాడగలిగి ఉంటే బాగుండేది.

I had+ V3: I wish I had+ V3

(ఏదైనా ఒక పని చేసి ఉండి ఉంటే బాగుండేది అనే సందర్భం)

I wish I had completed my PHD. నేను నా పి.హెచ్.డి ని పూర్తి చేసి ఉండి ఉంటే బాగుండేది.
” I talk to them. నేను వారితో మాట్లాడి ఉండి ఉంటే బాగుండేది.
” we had played chess. మనము చెస్ ఆడి ఉంటే బాగుండేది
” you had met me. మీరు నన్ను కలుసుకొని ఉండి ఉంటే బాగుండేది.
” they had gone to Chennai. వారు చెన్నై కి వెళ్లి ఉంటే ఉంటే బాగుండేది.
” student had come to this program. స్టూడెంట్స్ ఈ ప్రోగ్రాం కి వచ్చి ఉండి ఉంటే బాగుండేది.
