ఒక speaker మాట్లాడిన మాటలను మనం యధాతదంగా చెప్పినట్లైతే అది Direct speech
ఒక speaker మాట్లాడిన మాటలను అర్థం మారకుండా మాటలను మార్చినట్లైతే అది Indirect speech

1.Abdul Kalam said, “I have come from the poor background”. (direct speech)
Abdul Kalam said,దీనిని Reporting verb అంటాం
“I have come from the poor background”దీనిని Reported speech అంటాం
Abdul Kalam said ప్రక్కన కామ (,) తీసివేసి that ను ఉంచాలి.
అబ్దుల్ కలం అబ్బాయి కనుక” he” ఉపయోగించాలి.
have + V 3 స్తానం లో indirect speech లో had +V 3 వస్తుంది
Abdul Kalam said that he had come from a poor background.(indirect speech)
2.”I forgot my hall ticket “,a candidate said (direct speech)
“I forgot my hall ticket “దీనిని Reported speech అంటాం
a candidate said a candidate said.దీనిని Reporting verb అంటాం
a candidate said that he had forgotten his hall ticket.(indirect speech)
3.The MLA said to the villages ,”you have right to ask me”(direct speech)
The MLA said to the villages దీనిని Reporting verb అంటాం
“you have right to ask me”దీనిని Reported speech అంటాం
{Said to indirect speech లో Told to అవుతుంది}
The MLA told to the villagers that they had tried to ask him.(indirect speech)
ఈ మూడు వాక్యాల్లో ” ” marks లో statement అందువలన దీనిని direct Speech అంటారు .
Interrogative Type( yes /no questions)
subject +Helping verb+ Main verb +Object
1.He said to them,” are you reading “?(direct speech)
He asked them if /whether they were reading.(indirect speech)
interrogative లో said to అనేది Asked అవుతుంది
interrogative లో ప్రక్కన కామ (,) తీసివేసి if /whether ను ఉంచాలి
subject(you అనేది they అవుతుంది ) +Helping verb(are అనేది were అవుతుంది)
2.They said to me,” I haven’t you seen this movie “?(direct speech)
They asked me if I hadn’t not seen that movie.(indirect speech)
3.Ram said to his friend,” are you interested in teaching”?(direct speech)
Ram asked his friend if he was interested in teaching.(indirect speech)
Interrogative Type(WH questions)
WH +subject +Helping verb+ Main verb +Object (WH questions వచ్చినప్పుడు” ,” place లో ఏమి ఉపయోగించము)
1.I said to him,” what are you doing here today”?(direct speech)
I asked him what he was doing there that day.(indirect speech)
2.Stranger said to me,” where is Golconda”?(direct speech)
Stranger asked me where Golkonda was.(indirect speech)
3.My friend said to me,” how is your health”(direct speech)
My friend asked me how my health was.(indirect speech)
Imperative Type
1.He said to them,” go away”. (direct speech)
he ordered them to go away.(indirect speech)
2.Manoj said to his friends “don’t waste money and time”.(direct speech)
Manoj advised his friends not to waste money and time.(indirect speech)
3.Kirti said to me,” let us have some coffee”.(direct speech)
Kirti suggested me that we should have some coffee.(indirect speech)
(let us స్థానం లో should ఉపయోగించాలి)
Exclamation
Said+alas!….. Exclaimed with sorrow
Said+hurray!…. Exclaimed with joy
Said+oh!….. Exclaimed with regret
Said+wow!…. Exclaimed with joy
1.He said,” Alas I am not written “.(direct speech)
He exclaimed with Sorrow that he was not written .(indirect speech)
2.The boys said,” hurry! we have won the match”.(direct speech)
The boy exclaimed with joy that they had on the match.(indirect speech)
3.the doctor said,” oh! the patient is dead”.(direct speech)
The doctor exclaimed with regret that the patient was dead.(indirect speech)
