  • A, An=indefinite article ( ఖచ్చితంగా తెలుపనటు వంటి ఆర్టికల్ )
  • The=Definite article(ఖచ్చితంగా తెలిపే అటువంటి ఆర్టికల్ )

A:

A=is used before singular noun and consonant sounds.
(NOT the letter)

“Vowels=a, e, i , o, u
consonants=b, c, d, f, g, h, j, k, l, m, n, p, etc.(క నుండి ఱ )”

Examples:

  • I am a champion.
    champion-singular noun
    “ఛాం”పియన్ ,ఛా అనే శబ్దం “క నుండి ఱ” మధ్య వచ్చింది కనుక ముందు A ఉపయోగించాలి.
  • There is a Fan . “ఫా “
  • Is he a doctor.”ఢ “
  • There is a university.”యా “
  • They are forming as a union.”యా “
  • My friend is a European.”యా “

AN:

An= is used before singular noun which begins with vowels sounds.
(Not the letter)
“Vowels=a, e, i , o, u

Examples:

  • My friend became an engineer. “ఇ “
  • Abdul Kalam is an extortionary man. “ఏ “
  • He is an Australian.”అ “
  • Raghu is an architect.”ఆ “
  • He is an honest politician.”ఆ “
  • I am going to meet an MLA.”ఎ “
  • Vamshi is an SBI employee.”ఎ “

 

A, An not used:=>ఎక్కడ ఉపయోగించ కూడదు

  1. Plurals:-books ,doctors ,wales, examination etc.
  2. Uncountable nouns:-sand, water, rice, milk etc.
  3. Material nouns:-silk, iron, gold, silver, glass etc.
  4. Names of meals:-breakfast ,lunch, dinner.

 

THE:

=>Spacific
=>Particular
=>Unique

Examples:

  1. The sun rises in the east.
    east =”డైరెక్షన్”
  2. The moon appears at the night.

The earth ,the sea ,the Pacific ,the Himalayas ,the pyramids ,the salarjung museum ,the Charminar

1.Musical instruments:

  1. My friend plays the flute.
  2. Akash plays the guitar very well.
  3. They are buying the piano.

2.Time expressions:

  • Morning
  • Afternoon
  • Evening
  • Night
  1. The college will be opened in the morning.
  2. People usually go for walking in the evening.
  3. Student’s will take lunch in the afternoon.

3.Superlative degree:

  1. Abdul Kalam is one of the greatest person in India.“est “
  2. Honesty is the best policy.” best “
  3. Villages Are most beautiful places .”most “
  4. RK Narayana is one of the most famous Indian writer in English.” one of “

1st time వచ్చినప్పుడు =A/An ఉపయోగించాలి
2nd time వచ్చినప్పుడు = the ఉపయోగించాలి

  • I met a girl and a boy at the railway station. the girl is about 20 years old and the boy is about 10 years old.

Religious books:
The Gita ,the Bible ,the Quran, the Ramayana

Before only:

  • Ravi was the only student who raised a doubt.

More/ less:

  • The more you learn ,the more you benefit.
  • The less you work, the less you get.

 

The is not used(ఎక్కడ ఉపయోగించ కూడదు )

=>Proper nouns(ఖచ్చితంగా తెలిపేవి -India , Hyderabad , Amaraavathi )
=>Parts of the body(hands ,legs ,head )
=>Meals(break fast, lunch ,dinner )
=>Institutions(Ex :go to school అనాలి కానీ go to the school అనకూడదు )
